Things to watch out while calculating your CRS score

Question 6 – Work Experience

This question has two parts: part a and part b. Part a is related to the work experience gained in Canada, while the latter is for foreign work experience gained outside Canada. If you have at least one year of experience in Canada, then your profile will automatically be converted to a Canadian Experience Class (CEC) profile.
In foreign experience, you can include the work experience gained during your study outside Canada.

Work Experience Duration

You can use the math ceil function to calculate the total work experience duration. For instance, a work experience of 2 years and 8 months is considered as 2 years.

Question 9 – Provincial Nomination

You will be getting an additional whooping 600 points added to your total score if you get a nomination from a province. Having a nomination doesn’t just increase your chances of getting an invitation to apply (ITA), it also makes you qualified for PNP specific draws.

Question 12 – Spouse’s Work Experience

For the spouse’s work experience, only the work experience gained in Canada gets you points during your CRS score calculation.
